I don't know if I blogged about being invited to go to Missouri Scholar's Academy over the summer. If I didn't, I can catch you up to speed in like 2 minutes. Basically it's a 3 week long summer camp for smart people, it sounds really boring because all you do is go to a bunch of different class type things all the time and it's at MU. I don't want to go, but I still applied (yeah, you have to apply. Twice. Each application then goes through like 6 different cuts to narrow down their selections) because I thought that if I didn't, my mom would be mad. So I wrote the two required essays about myself and something I believe strongly in, (which is just that teens aren't given enough credit for their capabilities). I turned them in, with every intention to fail, might I add. I really did try to throw them. But somehow, I was still in the top 5 candidates to go to MSA even after that. I had originally thought I had failed, but then I get a note from the school office when I was in Math. I go down there and the counselor tells me that I've made the third cut, right after she hands me the pictured paper.
