Manhattan: The Little Apple

That's where I am. Today has been vastly less boring than yesterday. I actually feel like I've been caught up on all the things that I've been missing with the lingo etc. I have worked very hard today with Emily Commons. We have been paired to complete our theme packet, which is basically like a little mini yearbook type thing. We have our theme, and our theme copy for that packet done. We have also completed part one of our clipbook, which is like a book of examples of all the required page elements in a yearbook or other published work. Right now, we are looking at different examples of theme and how it is tied together throughout the book. We are going through the powerpoint and reading and discussing it. In a little while, Emily and I will be presenting our theme ideas to the group. I don't like the term 'camp' for this thing. I PREFER the term conference. In reality this is more like a conference than a camp because you are taking your computer and writing things and you are traveling to a place to further your knowledge with a group of people from your school, which could be compared to a group of your colleagues. Also you're going to a well known place of learning, like for a technology conference, you would probably go to CA somewhere. They're pretty tech-like. I don't know, maybe not. Anyway, I should probably start paying some more attention. Gotta get off here.... Bye:)
Well I scarfed down lunch, which I shouldn't have done because now I have 45 minutes to kill, and nothing to do.
Sitting through a lecture type thing in the student union at K-State.
